A couple of weeks ago, Brian and I stayed at Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort for the weekend. The TikTok I made showing the view from our room has hit 3 MILLION views!
To celebrate this, I'm featuring the many reasons you should plan to stay at Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort for your trip to Orlando for Spring break.
When we stayed there, I found that Cabana Bay's rooms were cheaper than getting a room at one of the Disney resorts. However, prices will vary since it's Spring break.
One of my favorite parts of the hotel was the lazy river. Yes, they have a freaking lazy river surrounding the hotel! The resort also has multiple pools and lovely sandy beaches so you can lay out in the sun or swim for hours. Another way to enjoy yourself without even leaving the resort is to go bowling at the 10-lane bowling alley! Side Note: They have old-school cars out front of the lobby that you can take pictures with and pose in front of.
I particularly love Cabana Bay because it is within walking distance of Universal's Volcano Bay, which means you have a wonderful view of the park. It is good to know that the resort does offer bus services to the Universal parks.
If you stay at the hotel, you get 1-hour early park admission to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter or Volcano Bay! If you are a Harry Potter fan, this unique feature is super duper essential. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter can get pretty crowded so having that early admission is a lifesaver.
Other benefits at the hotel include resort-wide charging privileges with your room key card and free delivery of merchandise purchased throughout the Universal Orlando Resort to your hotel.
Fun Fact: The Cabana Bay Beach Resort is the largest hotel of the Universal Orlando resorts.
When it comes to the rooms, Brian and I loved the vintage, 50's-inspired decor in our room. Our room had a mini-fridge, a flat-screen TV, free wireless, and a very comfy bed. If you are coming with your family, the resort does have excellent, spacious suites! Side Note: The resort offers various options for rooms, such as a Volcano Bay view or a poolside view.
The resort also provides multiple, tasty food dining choices such as the Bayliner Diner, and they even have a Starbucks! I repeat, STARBUCKS! The gigantic cafeteria offers really cheap eats for any of your meals before or after the park times. You will never go hungry or run out of coffee at Cabana Bay. Side Note: You can also get a refillable cup with Cabana Bay Beach Resort and get a small discount even on your adult drinks every time you bring it back to Universal.
I definitely recommend staying at Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort while you are in Orlando.
